VW, Audi, SEAT & Skoda TDI Remaps

The engines we build our own cars on. From a sensible Stage 1 on a Golf to a 449bhp diesel-only Mk4.

VAG diesels are our home ground

The 1.9 PD and 2.0 TDI are the engines our parts are developed on and the engines in our own cars. We know where each one is happy, where the weak points are, and what supporting parts it needs before you ask for more power. That's the difference between a map written for your engine and a file someone downloaded.

PD engines (pump-düse, like the ASZ, ARL and BKD) respond very differently to common-rail 2.0 TDIs (like the CFHC and CFGB). PD cars have strong low-down torque but need care with injection timing and smoke; common-rail engines are smoother and lean more on boost and rail pressure. We calibrate each one on its own terms.

Getting the most from a TDI

Clutch first

A Stage 1 PD130 makes far more torque than a tired standard clutch will hold. We'll tell you honestly if yours is ready.

Boost & MAF

Split hoses and lazy MAF sensors are the usual reasons a TDI won't make its numbers — we check them before mapping.

Injectors

Stage 2 and above usually means bigger injectors. We supply and fit them and map to match.

Hybrid turbo

When you want the next level, a hybrid turbo and a custom map is the step. See Stage 2 hybrid remaps.

What customers say

★★★★★

“Had an engine built by Aaron, with the old one removed and new one fitted all in 1 day — purrs like a pussycat but pulls like a train! They certainly know their way around PD130 engines.”

★★★★★

“Honestly the best in the game. Went to Aaron and his team with a few issues with my PD140 and they went above and beyond to resolve everything — now the van runs absolutely mint! I will be returning.”

Aaron Hewitt · Google review
★★★★★

“I would always recommend Aaron. Been using him always for my cars — does the best jobs and has the best car knowledge ever! Even if you're looking to mod your car for power and performance, this is your man right here.”

Common questions

Which TDI engines do you map?

All the common 1.9 PD, 2.0 PD and 2.0 common-rail TDIs, plus the 1.6 TDI. If yours isn't in the table, put your reg into Check Your Car or give us a call.

Is a Stage 1 PD130 safe on the standard clutch?

Often not for long — the standard clutch and dual-mass flywheel are the usual weak point. We check it first and can supply and fit an uprated clutch.

Will I lose economy?

Driven the same way, many TDIs hold or improve their economy after a Stage 1 because they're working less hard. Use the extra power and it'll use more fuel.

Do you sell parts for TDIs?

Yes — hybrid turbos, injectors, clutches and supporting parts are in our shop, and fitting and mapping can be quoted together.
